There’s no need to be by the sea to relish a getaway at one of the Nice aparthotels in the city. The Paris City Council has creatively addressed this by organizing Paris Plages since 2002, transforming the summer experience for both Parisians and visitors alike in the City of Light.
Every year, from July to mid-August, Paris Plages takes place on the right bank of the Seine on the quays, on the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville but also on other sites such as the Bassin de la Villette, the largest artificial lake in Paris.
Lots of activities for children
The summer holidays are above all an opportunity to have fun for the youngest. The table football is available in two versions: a "mini" for the little ones and an XXL. There is also a bumpy terrain for mountain bikers, a merry-go-round, a zip line and a water park. The science workshops and the club for 3-6 year olds are also very popular, a real little paradise!
Paris Plages: leisure activities for all
Children are not the only ones who can have fun. There are many activities for adults looking for fun. Needless to say, they are all free. You can go pedal boating or play in the bowling alley. Classic and unusual boats are also available to help you discover (or rediscover) the pleasures of water sports.
